SOFTBALL SIGNUPS - JULY 8, 2008
 

The fourth annual BVWC softball season is upon us once again. On Tuesday, July 8, at 7 p.m., we will be meeting at the Locust fields to begin practices. As you know, it’s very casual. No commitment necessary. It is our intention to once again hold practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through July and August culminating in our awesome annual game early in September.

*** Please bring $10.00 with you so that we may begin the uniform process early this year. (Don’t laugh!!!) ***

BVWC Positions Available

There are a few positions that are available in the BVWC for 2008. If you are interested in any of these or would just like to find out what each position entails, please email Susan Meyerson and I’ll give you all the fun details. Positions available are: New Member Liaison (hosts 2 new member teas), and Publicity (contacts local area papers on any upcoming events that the public can attend or to let them know of our charitable donations like we will be doing in February when we give out our donations to our local charities).
 

       THE SUNSHINE GROUP                          

Well, the Sunshine Group is up and running with quite a number of volunteers.  The Sunshine Group encompasses what we believe the BVWC is all about -- being there for each other, and Toni Marie is thrilled about running this group for us.  She is gathering together a list of people that would like to make food -- casseroles, brownies, whatever your specialty is -- to bring to a fellow member's home who is in need of our help.  In the past we have ordered food out, but we think this would be more personal.  Let’s hope everyone stays happy and healthy and the services of the Sunshine Group are not needed, but we’re glad to have them if necessary.  If you would like to join the Sunshine Group list of volunteers, please e-mail Susan Meyerson, disapuppy@aol.com and include your name, phone number, and the dish you would like to make. Your participation is voluntary and can be ended at any time. If you are aware of a person that could use our help, please contact Susan Meyerson right away at 376-0547. 

Please note that the services of the Sunshine Group

are reserved for serious situations and tragic events. 

Eligibility will be determined by the board. 
 

SECRET NEIGHBOR ROUND 1 2008

Round 1 of 2008, which will begin in February. During the months of February, March and April, you will give your Secret Neighbor a $10.00 present for each month.  In May, we will have a Secret Neighbor Reveal Party where you will give your Secret Neighbor a $20.00 final gift.

 Once your secret neighbor has been chosen,

 Alena will drop off the profile to you.
